Alaskan Salmon Patties

2 cups Salmon
1 Tbsp. grated onion
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
*1 cup white sauce
1 cup soft bread crumbs or mashed potatoes
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 egg, lightly beaten


Combine all ingredients and chill. Shape into patties and sprinkle with flour. Brown on both sides in small amount of grease.


*White Sauce:
3 Tbsp. butter
4 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 cup milk


Melt butter over low heat. Add flour, salt and pepper, stirring until well blended. Remove from heat. Gradually stir in milk, return to heat stirring constantly until thick and smooth. Bon appetit.
